Duty Free Shop

GatewayRail has developed an end-to-end logistics solution for a chain operating Duty Free Shops at an International Airport. The customer required an uninterrupted supply of dry and temperature controlled cargo. GatewayRail provided an end-to-end solutions - taking over the containers at the gateway port, transporting it by rail to an ICD, storing in the air- conditioned warehouse, clearing customs and delivering to the outlets as per the schedule shared by the customer.


CASE STUDY 2

Steel producer

GatewayRail developed an end-to-end solution for a steel manufacturer for transportation of Ferro Chrome Alloy from their plant in Orissa to their Stainless Steel HR / CR Coil manufacturing facility in Haryana. The Ferro Chrome in pre-weighed and bagged condition is picked up from the Orissa plant and delivered at the Haryanaworks after weighment. The entire responsibility for road transportation, rail transportation, handling, security of the cargo is undertaken by GatewayRail. The consignor and the consignee undertake loading and unloading at the origin and destination works respectively.


CASE STUDY 3

Reefer Logistics

For a leading food processing company, GatewayRail provided a one-stop, end-to-end solution for their reefer container logistics. GatewayRail created the infrastructure at its terminal for handling reefer containers. Reefer plug points and a high capacity generator set were installed. A mobile power pack was constructed within a container to provide power when the reefer containers are on the train. Special trailers with generator sets were procured to do the first and last mile road bridging. This specialised reefer solution enabled the company to meet its customer’s needs in a reliable manner.

2 Wheeler Solution

A major two-wheeler manufacturer required a cost-effective solution to distribute their motorcycles in the west and south of India. GatewayRail designed special two-tier, 40 feet containers to carry the motorcycles. This solution was cheaper than the road option and GatewayRail is currently expanding its inventory of the special two-tier, 40 feet containers to cater to the increasing demand.
